"THE FLASHPOINT PARADOX" REVIEW

The "alternate universe" method has always been a good escapism to avoid the boredom of comic-book movies. As far as I'm concerned, this happens in some DC and Marvel movies.

In "Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox" (2013), the alternate universe was perfectly built and exploited. Actually, the plot is not that outstanding or complex. Yet, the action is well-built and explored.

This is the movie's plot summary that I got from a website: "An alteration of the timeline for the superhero, The Flash, creates ripples that disastrously alters the Universe. The Flash must team with other heroes to restore the timeline while the Earth is ravaged by a war between Aquaman's Atlantis and Wonder Woman's Amazons."

Yeah, so that's it. The Flash ran too fast, so that he created a small wave on the surface of reality that turned it into different world. The basic plot may seem corny and confusing. Absurdity may come easily in this kind of movie about "who did that", "who did this", "what caused that", "what caused this". The Flash is in the main character here. The whole plot is based on his reminiscence; and it's pretty interesting since we barely see The Flash as a badass (in a movie -I barely know the comic's point of view-).

For big fans, it's always been a heaven on earth when all superheroes meet each other, get along, fight, show off their most superiority in their own abilities. The superheroes myth will give us a big thrill if the superheroes themselves are as tough as we think. Let alone tougher. And yes, they are tougher in this movies. Even I sense a gory details in the graphic. The graphic that has never seen before in an animated comic-book movies.

So, overall, "Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox" (2013) is satisfying. Get ready to get your mind blown.
